Montbron is a charming town steeped in charante history and situated in the south west of france, about one and a half hour drive from the city of bordeaux.

the attractions of the charante region and montbron are unique and unmistakable from beautiful landscapes, to famous food and wine and friendly people.

montbron, built on the banks of the river tardoire, has a population of 2000 and offers fine facilities for fishing, kayaking, swimming, soccer, golf, rugby etc.

a committee has recently been formed to investigate and develop links between askeaton and montron in the following areas:
